U.S. Marine Corps Col. Richard H. Pitchford, the incoming Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Security Force Regiment (MCSFR), receives the unit colors from Col. Corey M. Collier, the outgoing commanding Officer of MCSFR, at the Sports Zone Gym, Yorktown, Virginia. The change of command ceremony represents the official passing of authority from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.

U.S. Marines with Marine Corps Security Force Regiment (MCSFR), along with U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Johnny R. Wolfe, Director, of Strategic Systems Programs and Capt. Seth Burton, Chief of Staff of Strategic Systems Programs, take the Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV) through an obstacle course to showcase its capabilities Sept. 22, 2020, at Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, Virginia. The JLTV has several safety features, including an advanced hull design built to optimize survivability against a full range of blast and ballistic threats, as well as blast protected seats, restraints, and stowage to minimize crew impact during adverse events. A highlight of the importance of Exercise Koolendong 17 that partook on July 2017. Koolendong 17 is an annual, battalion-level bilateral live fire event designed to improve combat readiness and provide training opportunities that strengthen the interoperability of U.S. Marines and sailors, Australian Defence Force, and French Army New Caledonia. U.S. Marine Lt. Gen. Lawrence Nicholson, commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force, traveled to Australia to observe how to further improve the proficiency and quality of life for the Marines deployed in support of Marine Rotational Force Darwin, on July, 28. Marines with the Bravo Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team Company on Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Yorktown, Virginia conducted an operational readiness exercise, which evaluates the team’s ability to perform riot control. The ORE determines of the marines are ready to take their final step in pre-deployment training. After completing and meeting the requirements of the ORE evaluation the Marines will go to Quantico, Virginia for their final phase of pre-deployment training. Video produced by Cpl. Schrick.
