Admiral Scott Swift assumes command of Pacific Fleet from Admiral Harry Harris and immediately following that ceremony Admiral Harris assumed command of Pacific Command from Admiral Sam Locklear.

The Marines who make up The Center For Naval Aviation Technical Training Marine Unit Detachment Little Rock were recognized on November 13, 2018 by the governor and Rear Adm. Brian Fort, a Little Rock native, for their volunteer service in the Little Rock-area communities. The Marines had dedicated more than 6000 hours to volunteer services in just one year.

BA16 focuses on improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, and partner nations as an investment in the current and future readiness of naval forces.
