U.S. Marines and U.K British Army commandos joined forces during a field artillery exercise for Exercise Bold Alligator at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Oct. 12, 2017. Bold Alligator is designed to showcase the capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team, and demonstrate our cohesion with allied nations. U.S. Marine mortar men with Weapons Company and 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion from Task Force 1st Battalion 25th Marine Regiment conducted joint fire missions alongside British mortar men from 3rd Battalion, Princess of Wales Royal Regiment, during exercise Northern Strike 17 at Camp Grayling, Michigan. Northern Strike 17, a National Guard hosted exercise, brings together service members from across the U.S Department of Defense as well as service members from the United Kingdom, Denmark, Latvia, and Poland. Marine Forces Reserve participation in Northern Strike 17 will focus on strengthening and refining mechanized, amphibious, land and air capabilities while operating in a joint and multinational capacity. Task Force 1/25 will use Northern Strike 17 to gauge overall training and readiness levels as they prepare for Integrated Training Exercise 2018 and future mobilizations and deployments in 2019.

Marines with Company C, 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, based out of Peoria, Illinois, participated in exercise Red Dagger at various training locations across the northeast United States, June 3-17, 2016. Exercise Red Dagger is a bilateral training exercise that gives Marines an opportunity to exchange tactics, techniques and procedures as well as build working relationships with their British counterparts.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Intelligence Battalion and British soldiers conduct the military skills portion of Exercise Phoenix Odyssey II in Edinburgh, U.K. Oct. 30, 2015. This portion of the exercise allows U.S. Marines and British soldiers the opportunity to work together in a field environment while implementing a timed hike and a shooting competition in order to remain well rounded in every aspect of intelligence operations.

Service members from the U.S., U.K., Australia and Papua New Guinea conduct search training Sep. 1- Oct. 8 2015 as part of exercise Puk Puk 15 to provide positive and enduring change in Papua New Guinea.

U.S. Marines and British Commandos participated in MOUT training during Exercise Burmese Chase aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. The exercise focuses on interoperability between the two forces.

Marines and Sailors from 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liason Company trained closely with members of the British Royal Army to share knowledge and further international relations at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., July 1-24. The training is an annual three-week exercise called Burmese Chase that focuses on small unit tactics, fire support assets and combined arms integration.
