Arriving after World War II, the brown tree snake was accidentally introduced to Guam most likely due to the military in the late 1950s. The snake is detrimental to the environment because they have no natural predator on the island so they have almost eliminated over ten species of birds. Petty Officer Chelsea Alamina tells us more.
