Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Maritime Raid Force (MRF) rehearse raid drills by using explosives and close quarters techniques at Camp Lejeune, N.C., June 19, 2017. The Coast Guard has officially ended the active search for two Marine CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters and its crew in Hawaii, as of sunset January 19. The Marine Corps will now lead the recovery and salvage operations with the help of the U.S. Navy salvage ship Salvor.

Col. Sean Killeen, commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Hawaii and Col. Mike Watkins, commanding officer of Marine Aircraft Group 24, thank the people of Oahu who contributed to the search and rescue efforts for the 12 Marines from Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463.
