Lieutenant Gen. William H. Fitch (ret.) the former, deputy commandant for aviation, died Jan.19, 2016. A ceremony to celebrate his life was held at the Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Virginia, Feb. 4, 2016.

Lt. Gen. Michael A. Rocco, the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, says "thank you" to all the Marines and Civilian Marines in the Manpower, Personnel, and Administration community for their hard work and professionalism. Successful Marine Corps units are the product of many efforts, particularly the lasting commitment of administrators - those providing direct support to the command team, Marines, and their families.

The first Hybrid Logistics Symposium was conducted from Feb. 26- March 1, 2018. More than 100 Marines and Sailors, enlisted and officer, along with civilian Marines, joined students from the University of Southern California, San Diego to discuss concepts and equipment that will support the Marine Corps’ logistical community in achieving success into the year 2025 and beyond. Hybrid Logistics incorporates proven logistic tactics with groundbreaking methods of supporting the Marines in combat. The tactics consist of five areas – additive manufacturing, unmanned logistics systems, smart logistics, expeditionary energy, and expeditionary medicine. (U.S. Marine Corps Video by Lance Cpl. Lt. Gen. Jon Davis flies an AV-8B Harrier with Marine Attack Training Squadron 203 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., June 30, 2017. Davis completed Harrier pilot training in October 1982 while assigned to VMAT-203, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. In 1998, Davis returned to MCAS Cherry Point where he was the commanding officer of VMA-223, MAG-14, 2nd MAW. From 2010 to 2012, he was the commanding general of 2nd MAW.
