British Royal Marines exercised their Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel proficiency in Rindal, Norway November 6, 2018, during Exercise Trident Juncture 18. The Royal Marines with X-Ray Company, 45 Commando, worked in conjunction with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and assets from Marine Aircraft Group 29.

A crew chief assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 269 explains the responsibility of being a door gunner at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Sept. 7, 2017. The primary purpose of a Door Gunner is to man the weaponry aboard the aircraft and provide assistance for other aircraft within the area or operations; as well as provide coverage for the Marines on the ground. Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 269 supports Marines assigned to Expeditionary Operations Training Group conducting a fast rope training exercise near Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., May 9, 2017. HMLA-269 assisted EOTG with training new helicopter ropes suspension techniques masters in training. These HRST masters will be responsible for conducting fast rope and repelling training exercises conducted by II Marine Expeditionary Force. Birds of Prey Roost Further during FARP Mission

Marines from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 and Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 269 executed a spider forward arming and refueling point mission in Okinawa, Japan, October 28, 2015. The FARP mission facilitates small aircraft to operate longer, resupply in a shorter time frame and provide close air support more frequently. The event was part of Blue Chromite 2016. Because Blue Chromite is an amphibious training exercise that draws primarily from III Marine Expeditionary Force's training resources in Okinawa, participating units maintain a forward-deployed posture while eliminating travel costs. VMM-262 is with Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. HMLA-269 is with MAG 36 under the Unit Deployment Program. Also available in high definition.
