Quest 2016 at Five Hills Training Area, Mongolia, May 29, 2016. This lane tests participants’ reactions to various
scenarios including protests, vehicle inspections, and interacting with locals. This station is one of eleven training lanes conducted during the exercise that exposes participants to different scenarios they may face during UN Peacekeeping operations. Bangladesh Army Captain MD Mustakim Rahman, with 30 East Bengal; U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Keyne Hernandez, with 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion; and Bob Lidstone, subject matter expert with the U.S. State Department’s Global Peace Operations Initiative program, all provide remarks about the training being conducted. Khaan Quest is an annual, multinational peacekeeping operations exercise hosted by the Mongolian Armed Forces, co-sponsored by U.S. Pacific Command, and supported by U.S. Army Pacific and U.S Marine Corps Forces, Pacific. Khaan Quest, in its 14th iteration, is the capstone exercise for this year’s Global Peace Operations Initiative program and will focus on training activities to enhance international interoperability develop peacekeeping capabilities, build mil-to-mil relationships, and enhance military readiness.
