Sgt. Maj. Vincent Santiago, the Sgt. Maj. for 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Okinawa, Japan, recounts a story of his grandmother, September 16, 2016. Santiago, a Guam native, tells how his family was liberated during World War II by 3rd MarDiv. Because of this, 3rd MarDiv has played a significant and profound role in Santiago’s life.
