KC-135 Stratotankers from the 909th Air Refueling Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, fuel 19 receivers 300 nautical miles from Guam during Exercise Valiant Shield 2016. The receivers for this sortie include F-15s, F-22s, and F-16s all participating in the exercise. Staff Sergeant Jacon Aufderheidi, KC-135 Boom Operator, explains the mission for the day and how vital to air operations the tankers are.

Marines with Company A, 1st Tank Battalion conducted the Tank Mechanized Assault Course aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, Nov. 2-3, 2014. The training helped the Marines improve their abilities to coordinate with supporting units and prepare to respond to any crisis around the world.
