Brig. Gen. Kevin J. Killea, the Commanding General of Marine Corps Installations - West Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, reminds Marines of the importance recycling provides to the base and the environment.

The Camp Pendleton Recycling program program promotes environmental stewardship to meet state and federal waste diversion mandates. Funds generated from the recycling program contribute to new gym equipment, uniforms & equipment for youth and intramural sports, picnic pavilions, tables, grills and much more throughout the base community.

The Recycling Center aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., greatly benefits the base in it's efforts to reduce waste.
