First Defensive Cyberspace Operations – Internal Defensive Measures Company Activation

9th Communication Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, activated the first Defensive Cyberspace Operations – Internal Defensive Measures Company during a ceremony on October 1, 2018. The 9th Communication Battalion DCO-IDM Company is the first of three DCO-IDM companies the Marine Corps will activate in accordance with Force Modernization 2025. DCO-IDM Company provides added security to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network by executing defensive cyberspace operations to defend the Marine Air-Ground Task Force information networks across all domains. 1st ANGLICO Marines, JGSDF Begin Training

U.S. Marines with 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company and soldiers from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force began training during Exercise Iron Fist 2014 aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan 23-24, 2014. Iron Fist 2014 is an amphibious exercise that brings together Marines and sailors from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, other I Marine Expeditoinary Force units, and soldiers from the JGSDF, to promote military interoperability and hone individual and small-unit skills through challenging, complex and realistic training.
