Retired Gunnery Sgt. Chuck Carter has spent the last 15 years as a cashier at the 21 Area chow hall. "(Vietnam is) the worst place I ever been to, I think... you had to look out for your life everyday... They always said 'don't make friends' but you had to make friends, ya know. Because you never know who's next."
