Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., hosts the annual Sexual Assault and Awareness Month 5K run April 7, 2017. The run is designed to bring people together in order to raise awareness on sexual assault. “This is about awareness and prevention,” said Brig. Gen. Matthew Glavy. “This is about rededicating ourselves as Marines and as Sailors to doing the right thing and protecting each other to protect our mission.” More than 1,100 service members and members of the community came together to show their support and participate in the event.
