Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 (VMFA(AW)-224), 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, conducts air-to-air missile proficiency training aboard Naval Air Station Key West, Florida on April 14, 2021. VMFA(AW)-224 is training to give their Marines experience, and confidence using these weapons systems and to increase the squadron’s overall readiness.

Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 "Purple Foxes" conduct the last flight with 12 aircraft before they begin to retire the CH-46E Sea Knights and begin their transition to a Marine medium tiltrotor squadron. HMM-364 took maintainers and other Marines in the squadron on the flight as they did low passes through downtown San Diego. The Purple Foxes are the last operational Sea Knight squadron in the Marine Corps and will complete their transition to the MV-22B Osprey in October.

Marines with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group trained with Marines with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division in the basics of demolitions during a field operation aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 29. The service members prepared and detonated explosive charges designed for urban and field environments, and fired rockets from Shoulder-launched Multipurpose Assault Weapons.
