Cpl. Rachel Wakefield discusses her experience and recovery with the Wounded Warrior Regiment. The Augusta, Ga. native is competing the 2017 Department of Defense Wounded Warrior Games in Chicago June 30 to July 8, 2017. The Warrior Games is an adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans.

During the 2021 Warrior Care Week, the Warrior Care Program hosts a variety of activities in San Antonio, Texas at the Mission Concepcion Sports Complex for wounded, ill and injured service members to include, adaptive sports introductions, team sport practices, a healing arts expo, and transition events.
