U.S. Marines integrate with soldiers from the Japan Ground-Self Defense Force to detonate claymore mines and Bangalore torpedoes on the demolition range, in Hokudaien, Japan, in support of Northern Viper 17. Northern Viper is a large scale exercise that has many bilateral training opportunities that help strengthen the capabilities of the United States and the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force.
