MARINE CORPS AIR STATION FUTENMA, OKINAWA, JAPAN- Cpl. Jeremie Lewis and Cpl. Houston Dickens discuss on how they overcome the challenges of being an aircraft rescue firefighter Aug. 16 on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. Lewis is from Southhaven, Mississippi. Dickens is from Waynesville, North Carolina. The Marines are aircraft rescue firefighters with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Marine Corps Installations Pacific. Marines with ARFF are required to deal with hazardous materials; handle aircraft ablaze and loaded with ordnance, and triage victims in the critical first moments of medical emergencies.
