1st Marine Division Schools recently began the second week of training for Marines attending the pre-scout sniper training course aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 27, 2014. Hand selected from their units, Marines from 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment and 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment all spend countless hours during the pre-scout sniper course learning to apply their weapon systems and the skills needed to graduate and move on to the famed scout sniper course.

Marines with Company C, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion conducted a free-fall and static-line jump aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Calif., June 25, 2014. The Marines jumped from CH-46 Sea Knights at approximately 10,000 feet for free-fall and approximately 2,000 feet during the static-line jumps. Conducting free-fall and static-line jumps ensures the Marines are capable of being deployed into any location as quickly as possible. Also available in high definition.

Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 1 participated in the Service-level C-Improvised Explosive Device Defeat the Device Training Program aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 15. The training is provided by the Marine Corps Engineer School and prepares Marines for deployment in hostile environments. The Defeat the Device training program has trained more than 250,000 students in the skill sets needed to sustain mobility and force deployments in deployed environments.
