Sgt. Arthur Whittaker and Staff Sgt. Nathanial Clark were recognized and awarded for their selfless acts of care during an awards ceremony, Dec. 14, 2017, at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. On their way to Guam, the Marines attended to an elderly man who was traveling alone and appeared to be disoriented. Whittaker and Clark spent the rest of the seven hour flight caring for him. Whittaker, a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, is an electrical optical ordnance technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 3, 3d Marine Logistics Group. Clark, a native of Lakeville, Minnesota, is a ground communication maintenance technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 3, 3d Marine Logistics Group. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Pfc. Trevor Rowett)
