Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., community members enjoy a live rock concert at Rocktoberfest on the air station, Oct. 26, 2018. Rocktoberfest was hosted by Cherry Point's Marine Corps Community Services. Along with free food and drinks, this year's festival included performances by He Is Legend, Devour the Day, nonpoint, and D.J. Big Mike. Activities at this year's festival included a stein race, a stein hoist as well as hammerschlagen (a game where each participant has one swing with a hammer to drive a nail into a piece of wood. Lt. Gen. Lewis Burwell “Chesty” Puller, the most decorated Marine in American history, was born on this day, June 26, in 1898. Inspired by the Marines of Belleau Wood, Chesty knew from a young age that he would be part of the military. In his lifetime, he demonstrated impeccable leadership and complete devotion to his Marines. He received numerous awards, including five Navy Crosses and a Distinguished Service. Glenn who served in the Marine Corps who also later severed as a senator as well as being the first man to orbit the earth is being honored at Arlington National Cementary on April 18, 2017. Marines, Sailors, family, friends and fans of Jerry Coleman gathered at Petco Park, San Deigo, Jan. 18, 2014. The memorial service honored Coleman, the padres announcer for more than 40 years and former Marine Pilot. Coleman flew more than 120 combat missions, played for the Yankees, managed the Padres and later became their radio announcer. Available in High Definition.
