U.S. Air Force pararescuemen with the 31st and 33rd Rescue Squadrons out of Kadena Air Base, Japan conduct a mass casualty simulation with members of the Philippine Air Force 5051st Search and Rescue Squadron, 505th Search and Rescue Group, at Clark Air Base, Pampanga, Philippines on 11 May 2018. All units collaborated to practice patient triage and emergency medical evacuation during Exercise Balikatan 2018. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism, and other combined military operations held from May 7 to May 18.
