Marines on Little Rock Air Force Base are recognized for volunteer service

The Marines who make up The Center For Naval Aviation Technical Training Marine Unit Detachment Little Rock were recognized on November 13, 2018 by the governor and Rear Adm. Brian Fort, a Little Rock native, for their volunteer service in the Little Rock-area communities. The Marines had dedicated more than 6000 hours to volunteer services in just one year.

Chieftains run to honor fallen Marines

Marines assigned to Marine Air Support Squadron 1 participated in the annual Chieftain run at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Nov. 16-17, 2016. The Chieftains collectively ran for 24 hours to pay tribute to MASS-1 Marines who have passed away. Marines Train in Rapid Response

Marines, with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division trained in embassy reinforcement tactics Feb. 13-15 aboard Camp Upsher, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. The goal of the Continental U.S. Based Alert Force training exercise was to ensure a battalion-sized force could deploy and set up within a 96 hour time frame, and reorganize into a larger force if necessary.
