Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Camp Pendleton currently serves as the rotary wing hub for Marine Aircraft Group-39. MCAS Camp Pendleton is home to 5,000 Marines serving in 11 active squadrons. The air station supports operations for the AH-1Z Viper helicopter, the UH-1Y Venom helicopter and the MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft.
