The Combined Federal Campaign begins in October and runs through January 2020. The CFC is the world's largest annual workplace charity campaign that affords service members and federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for those in need by donating to their charity of choice. Participation at the CFC is voluntary and every donation goes directly to the organizations that are chosen by service members. Sgt. Maj. Paul McElearney, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point sergeant major, and HMCM Jason Juarez, Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point (NHCCP) command master chief, announce the base’s annual tug-of-war competition in support of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) on Oct. 18, 2019. Last year the NHCCP beat Headquarters & Headquarters Squadron in the last round of the competition. Firefighters from numerous Southern California firefighting agencies participate in the annual Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton 2019 Interagency Fire School on Basilone Rd., MCB Camp Pendleton, California, June 3, 2019. U.S. Marines compete in the 44th Annual Joint Culinary Training Exercise at Fort Lee, Virginia, March 9-14, 2019. Marines cooked alongside 200 military chefs in the largest American Culinary Federation-sanctioned culinary competition in North America.
