Marines with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit participate in a historical battle site tour in Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 19, 2019. Marines toured Kakazu Ridge, Camp Kinser Battle of Okinawa Historical Display, Former Japanese Navy Underground Headquarters , and Okinawa Peace Memorial Park to learn about the Marine Corps’ actions in Okinawa during World War II, with the tour supported by the Marine Corps Association & Foundation. The battlefield study was part of MCA&F’s Commanders’ Forum Program which provides battlefield studies and guest speakers free of charge, to help Marines grow as tactical decision makers and leaders. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. Bandvagn Tour

Norway's all-terrain carrier of choice is the Bandvagn 206. In this video, Norwegian Pvt. Einar Fjellberg shows us his "BV" while his team stages for the beginning of Cold Response 14. Cold Response 14 is a multilateral training exercise that involves maritime, land and air operations with more than 15 countries, totaling more than 14,000 servicemembers including approximately 1,200 NATO personnel. Cold Response 14 is a Norwegian-led exercise being conducted this month to rehearse high-intensity operations in unique winter conditions while bringing together NATO allies and partners to build military capacity and interoperability while maintaining partnerships between the nations' militaries. The event showcases the diplomatic relationships, strategic friendships, and commitment to global-security interests of all participating nations, with the majority of servicemembers coming from the United States, Norway, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Sweden.
