On May 12, 2015, Cpl. Sara A. Medina, a combat photographer and Lance Cpl. Jacob A. Hug, a combat videographer assigned to Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan, gave their lives while providing humanitarian assistance during a disaster relief effort in Nepal during operation Sahayogi Haat. Marines, sailors and members of the military community came together to honor Medina and Hug, and participate in the 4th Annual Memorial 5k Run, May 23, 2019 on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan.
