Marines with Q Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, conduct High Mobility Artillery Rocket System Rapid Infiltration training and showcase a live fire of the M142 HIMARS in Queensland Australia, during Exercise Talisman Sabre 19, July 6, 2019. HIMARS from the 3rd Marine Division provide the combined-join force with the unique capability of a mobile, transportable surface to surface missile system that can accurately deliver precision guided munitions to a variety of targets. Talisman Sabre 19 is a bilateral exercise that provides U.S. and Australian forces realistic and relevant training to strengthen regional security, peace and stability.

31st MEU Marines, Sailors enjoy Sydney adventures

Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit explored the New South Wales, Australia-area during a liberty port June 29-July 2, 2017. The 31st MEU encouraged Marines to immerse themselves in Australian culture, to visit the iconic landmarks in the area and travel with the military sponsored tours. The liberty port was prior to the Talisman Saber 2017 exercises. Talisman Saber is a realistic exercise that brings service members closer and improves both nations' ability to work bilaterally and multilaterally, and prepares them to be poised to provide security regionally and globally. Joel Domigan with the Air Medal with combat valor on May 26, 2017.
