Pfc. Alberto Velazquez, a native of Lake Worth, Florida, joined the Marine Corps to help his family with their financial struggles. Velazquez, who graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island Oct. 11, 2019, said although the environment of recruit training was difficult he is looking forward to providing a better life for his family.
