U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Chris Mallon, describes the cold weather training his platoon from 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion and members of 3rd Marine Division are going through while at exercise Northern Viper 2020. Northern Viper is a regularly scheduled training exercise that is designed to enhance the collective defense capabilities of the U.S. and Japan Alliance by allowing infantry units to maintain their proficiency and lethality in infantry and combined tactics.
