Warrior Shield 24 is an annual joint, combined, exercise in the Republic of Korea that strengthens the combined defensive capabilities of ROK-U.S. Forces. U.S. Tactical Air Control Party Airmen assigned to the 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron, Vilseck, Germany, jump out of a C-130J Super Hercules over Kiruna, Sweden, prior to Exercise Cold Response 20, Feb. 27, 2020. Marines with the Tactical Air Control Party course at the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group-Atlantic finished up the 5-week course at Camp Lejeune, N.C., by conducting a two-day joint tactical air control training exercise, June 20-21. The Marines were required to identify enemy strongholds, plot coordinates, and request air support while artillery and mortars suppressed the positions.
