U.S. Marines and Airmen offload ammunition from a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft while preparing for exercise Native Fury 20 in the United Arab Emirates, Feb. 28, 2020. Native Fury 20 is a joint exercise involving thousands of forces demonstrating the ability to respond to contingencies, natural disasters and other possible crises in the region. The exercise is designed to train I Marine Expeditionary Force Marines and Sailors in Maritime Prepositioning Force operations aimed to increase proficiency, expand levels of cooperation, maritime capabilities, and validate joint logistics over the shore capabilities in coordination with the U.S. Army.
