The Marine Corps marks the 70th anniversary of the June 25th start of the Korean War and honors those who answered the call to preserve freedom and democracy. 4,267 Marines were killed in action and another 23,744 Marines were wounded. Seven decades later, the U.S.-Republic of Korea alliance remains the linchpin for security, stability, and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and in the Northeast Asia region.
