MEDITERRANEAN SEA (March 11, 2017)- U.S. Marines with Kilo Co., 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, conduct a combat marksmanship program shoot on the flight deck of USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) March 11, 2017 in the Mediterranean Sea. The shoot helps sharpen and improve upon the Marines' skills while under a combat load. 3/6 is with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, which is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security Cooperation efforts in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility. Terry Ings describe the labor-intensive and greasy world of combat cargo and how vital it is to ensuring safety for everyone aboard USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) Dec. 2, 2016 during Amphibious Ready Group Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise. This is a documentary production on the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) supporting Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in New York. This production has been created using footage compiled from CNN, royalty-free music, and interviews from the citizens of New York. The Marines and Sailors from the 26th MEU helped local residents by removing debris left from the hurricane and provided assistance with anything they could, including pumping water from heavily flooded areas and helping clear away collapsed housing. The 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force. The MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response, and limited contingency operations. The 26th MEU is slated to deploy in 2013.
