The mental agility pillar of the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Enlisted Performance Evaluation System will be adjusted to account for completion of MOS proficiency enhancing courses and qualifications. Beginning in late July 2021, select aviation maintenance MOS’s will receive points within the mental agility pillar for earning key qualifications. This initiative will extend to all MOS's over the next year as Headquarters Marine Corps works with the occupational fields to develop a list of key courses and/or qualifications for each MOS. The new system will allow Marines to visually compare their scores to their peers in the same Military occupation giving them more control of their promotions.
