U.S. Marines with Task Force Koa Moana 21, I Marine Expeditionary Force, receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, March 18, 2021, at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Koa Moana, which means "ocean warrior," is designed to strengthen and enhance relationships between U.S. and partner nations/states in the Indo-Pacific region. The task force is taking extensive measures to mitigate the spread of Covid-19. The health and safety of partner nation citizens and U.S. service members is an enduring priority.
