Reservists with 4th Marine Logistics Group and service members with the Air National Guard continue on with Innovative Readiness Training Louisiana Care 2017 in multiple locations around Louisiana. The Louisiana Care Innovative Readiness Training event is a joint-service medical mission that provides the military with hands-on readiness training opportunities, while at the same time providing direct and lasting benefits to the residents of Louisiana. The Toys for Tots program was created in 1947 by the Marine Corps Reserve and provides new, unwrapped toys to millions of less fortunate children in communities across the country every year. The first lady is an avid supporter of the program and has been a spokesperson for its mission for the last seven years.

On October 29, 2012, three Marines and a sailor from the 6th Communications Battalion, based in Brooklyn, N.Y., helped the NYPD and FDNY save the lives of 14 people trapped by fire and floodwaters resulting from Hurricane Sandy. Also available in high definition.
