U.S. Marine Corps Col. Michael Nakonieczny, commanding officer of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), describes the outcome of the MEU's first float of the year, May 2, 2022, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.

3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade and Commander, Task Force 76, completed Exercise Noble Fusion Feb 3-7, 2022. Noble Fusion highlights that Navy and Marine Corps forward-deployed stand-in naval expeditionary forces can rapidly aggregate Marine Expeditionary Unit/Amphibious Ready Group teams at sea, along with a carrier strike group, joint forces and allies, in order to conduct lethal sea-denial operations, seize key maritime terrain, guarantee freedom of movement, and create advantage for US, partner and allied forces.

PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 7, 2022) U.S. Marines and Sailors assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) participate in Exercise Noble Fusion.
