Marine Corps Base Quantico Marines and first responders participating in a full-scale exercise with Prince William County first responders and personnel on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, May 25, 2023. The exercise simulated a train derailment and chemical leak testing both base personnel and Prince William County first responders in order to properly asses the efficiencies and deficiencies with response times, emergency first aid, chemical decontamination, and proper evacuation techniques. The course in Prince William Forest Park features a 11.03 mile run over rolling hills in a densely wooded backdrop and offers race finishers “Access Granted” passes, granting them guaranteed access into the 48th MCM.
