U.S. Marine Corps recruits with Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, participate in a body sparring event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California, April 28, 2025. Recruits are taught Marine Corps Martial Arts Program techniques that instill basic self-defense that they will execute throughout recruit training during events like body sparring and pugil sticks to help build a warrior ethos and esprit de corps.
