GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. This MARADMIN announces the 2017 National Latina Style Symposium, 15 September 2017 at the Marriott Marquis Washington, 901 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.
2. The Latina Style mission is to advance Latinas in the workplace, entrepreneurship and business, emerging technology trends, wealth creation and financial security, political leadership, professional development and balancing health, career and personal life. During the awards luncheon, Latina Style, the premiere organization honoring Latina achievements, is proud to present the Distinguished Civilian Service Awards recognizing leadership, accomplishment, and commitment. The intent of this symposium is to provide a broad cross-section of leadership with exposure, training, and unique networking opportunities.
3. Subject to conference approval, CMC (MPE) will fund participation for this conference within a limited scope. The Marine Corps will sponsor 48 local attendees and two award recipients. CMC will fund the local attendees conference/registration fees only. Marines not funded by MPE, may register and pay for themselves by accessing the Latina Style website. Only the award recipients travel expenses will be funded by CMC (MPE).
4. Commands are not authorized to fund additional conference attendees beyond the fifty CMC funded civilians and service members. Only local attendees are authorized to request CMC funding for conference/registration fees to this conference in Washington, DC. Commanders may authorize local travel for members of their command.

7. The uniform of the day for Marines attending is Service “C” with ribbons and business attire for civilians.
8. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
9. Latina Style is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps.
