GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose:  In accordance with the references, this MARADMIN outlines the implementation plan for conducting the Marine Corps Combat Pistol Program (CPP) sustainment program Table 1 for Annual Combat Pistol Marksmanship Training and Evaluation.
2.  Situation:  In response to a demand signal from the Operating Forces, the Commanding General, Marine Corps Combat Development Command (CG, MCCDC) has approved a tested and validated CPP Table 1 sustainment training program for all Marines undergoing annual re-qualification training with the service pistol.  This program has proven to retain or improve upon a Marines performance while dramatically minimizing time on the range, targetry, and ammunition.  While the existing initial CPP Table 1 consists of 5 training blocks and 200 rounds per Marine, the CPP sustainment training consists of 3 training blocks and 100 rounds per Marine.  The CPP Table 1 sustainment program is designed for Marines who have previously achieved an Expert or Sharpshooter rating with the service pistol while executing all five training blocks of the current CPP Table 1.  If a Marine achieves a Marksman rating during the accelerated sustainment, the Marine must execute the full qualification training the following year.
2.A.  The CPP Table 1 sustainment program consists of three blocks of training.  Block 1 consists of refresher training (lecture, dry practice, and live practice).  Block 2 is CPP Table 1 pre-evaluation.  Block 3 is CPP Table 1 evaluation.
2.B.  Per reference (C), CG, MCCDC has approved full implementation of the CPP sustainment program for annual training with the service pistol.
2.C.  Instructions within this MARADMIN constitute an authorization for units to execute in lieu of the annual pistol training requirements within reference (A) for qualified Marines.
3.  Mission:  All commands currently authorized or required to execute the CPP Table 1 for their Marines, will begin implementation of CPP Table 1 sustainment during Fiscal Year 2019, as outlined below.
