SUBJ/APPLICATION PROCESS CHANGE FOR MARINE CORPS MILITARY HOUSING//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  To promulgate standardized Marine Corps Practices of the Family Housing Application Process.
2.  Background.  Prior to May 2016, Marine Corps Family Housing offices used inconsistent practices to determine the control date for the housing waiting list.  As of May 2016, all Marine Corps Family Housing offices use the date of receipt of completed housing application (DD FORM 1746) with supporting documentation and permanent change of station orders or equivalent (includes web orders)to establish the waiting list control date.
3.  Action.
a.  Changes to MCO 11000.22, The Marine Corps Bachelor and Family Housing Management Manual will be made to reflect this procedural change.
b.  Service members seeking military family housing should contact the Family Housing office with any specific questions or concerns.
4.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Reserve Component.
