GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Reserve Affairs will convene an Aviation Lieutenant Colonel Officer Accession Board on 24 April 2017.
2. Active Reserve Aviation Lieutenant Colonels fill roles central to the successful integration of reserve aviation into the Total Force. These officers are responsible for the training, integration, administration, and mobilization of reserve pilots.
3. Applicants must meet the below qualifications. Specific details of the qualifications can be found in reference (A), pages 2-2 to 2-4.
a. Be enrolled in or have completed PME requirements for the grade held.
b. Meet height and weight standards
c. Have experience training, education, and expertise commensurate with grade and MOS.
d. Be certified as physically fit for duty.
e. Not listed in the following categories: Hospitalized or undergoing drug or alcohol rehabilitation, on sick or convalescent leave, awaiting appearance before a Physical Evaluation Board (PEB), awaiting final action on the recommended findings of a PEB or other medical board, pending any military or civilian legal or disciplinaryaction.
4. Applicants must be in a MED-UP status to be considered.
5. Active component aviators must have completed PCS, PME or other service obligations prior to August 2018 to be eligible. Active component officers will automatically be scrolled for a Reserve Commission prior to transitioning to the Active Reserve Program.
6. Interested pilots should submit the required documents by 17 March 2017 via the FY 17-2 Active Reserve Officer Accession Board survey located on the following MRA website: https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil/application. Applicants will need to contact the POC above in order to be loaded to the survey.
7. Those documents can be found at the following site: https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil, Reserve Marine, RAM, Officer Assignments (RAM-1), Officer Accession Boards.
8. Officers selected for accession will be notified via MARADMIN. Accession tours are thirty six months. Those selected will be career designated upon accession. Officers selected as alternates will be notified via separate correspondence.
9. Aviators promoted on or after 1 Jan 2012 are eligible to apply.
10. Lieutenant Colonel and Lieutenant Colonel Selects are eligible to apply.
11. Officers who have received or are receiving separations or voluntary separations pay will be subject to applicable recoupment policies and statutes upon accession.
12. Waivers to requirements set by this MARADMIN and MCO 1001.52J may be granted at the discretion of the Director, Reserve Affairs.
