T-6A Texan II crashes

A T-6A Texan II assigned to the 47th Flying Training Wing here crashed at about 11:16 a.m. Sept. 24 near Spofford, Texas.

The aircraft was on an undergraduate pilot training mission, and the instructor and student pilot are safe on the ground.

A board of officers will investigate the accident, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
