GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. This MARADMIN announces the 2017 National Naval Officers Association (NNOA) Professional Development and Training Symposium from 26-27 July 2017 at the Admiral Kidd Conference Center, NMAWC, Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego, CA.
2. NNOA’s mission is to enhance Sea Service operational readiness by supporting recruiting, professional development, and retention in an effort to achieve a diverse officer corps that reflects the demographics of our Nation. This year’s theme is, “Developing Leaders through Education, Experience, and Personal Development.”
3. Subject to conference approval, CMC (MPE) will fund participation within a limited scope. The Marine Corps will sponsor thirty (30) Marine officers from the local area by funding their conference/registration fees only. Applicants will be approved on a first come, first served basis. All Marine Corps funded participation will be coordinated through the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (MPE) Branch.
