GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  It is my distinct honor to congratulate the Marines and Sailors of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing on the occasion of your 76th anniversary.
2.  Since the wing's activation on 7 July 1941, 1st MAW has proven capable and ready to deploy anywhere in the world with little notice.  From the Pacific theater during World War II, through every major conflict since, 1st MAW has been at the forefront of our Nation's defense.  Whether offering first-rate combat support to fellow warfighters or responding to natural disasters in the Pacific, the Marines and Sailors of 1st MAW carry out each mission with impressive professionalism and commitment to excellence.  Always at the ready when our Nation calls, the 1st MAW team truly epitomizes our axiom “In every clime and place.”
3.  No matter the mission, the Marines and Sailors of 1st MAW always have a reputation for responding rapidly and effectively.  As you commemorate this anniversary, know that your fellow Marines take great pride in your service and honor your invaluable contributions.
