GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Situation. In preparation for the FY18 slating season, RAM will address individual and command concerns during the FY17-FY18 Command Visit Roadshow.
2. Mission. From August 2017 to January 2018, RAM will visit designated locations to conduct a series of briefs, in-calls, staffing meetings, and interviews in order to update commands on manpower issues and assist Marines in making well-informed career decisions.
3. Execution
3.a. Intent. Provide commands with information pertaining to manpower management policies, procedures and assignments, support talent management of Marines, and facilitate opportunities for Marines to discuss future assignments with their monitor.
3.b. Concept of Operations. The FY17-FY18 RAM Command Visit schedule is designed to visit all of the major Active Reserve (AR) commands in order to allow RAM personnel to interact with the largest AR regional populations possible.

3.c.1. Target Audience: All AR Marines. Maximum participation is essential to facilitate interchange and development of the FY18 assignment slate.
3.c.1.a. Time frame: Approximately 60-90 minute brief.
3.c.1.b. Subject: Assignment Process, Career Progression, and Manpower Programs and Policies.
3.c.2. Interviews
3.c.2.a. Length. 20 minutes.
3.c.2.b. Attendance of RAM brief is highly encouraged.
4. Administration and Logistics
4.a. Administration. Responsible commands listed in paragraph 3.c. must assign a site coordinator for each location. Site coordinators will execute detailed planning via separate correspondence with the RAM command coordinator point of contact MGySgt Lockridge.
4.b. Logistics
4.b.1. Funding. RAM will fund all expenses for the RAM team. Units are responsible to fund expenses for Marines that intend to travel to the predesignated locations listed in paragraph 3.c.1.
4.b.2. Facilities. Facilities are requested to support the brief and interviews. The brief location requires audio/video support and the interview location requires internet connectivity and power.
5. Command and Signal
5.a. Site coordinators. Serve as the primary point of contact for RAM command visit coordination. Upon release of this message, the RAM coordinator, MGySgt Lockridge, will conduct detailed coordination with site coordinators via separate correspondence.
5.b. Network Access. Each member of the RAM team will arrive with a Marine Corps Enterprise Network laptop computer and will require access to an active network data port in order to best serve each command and their Marines.
5.c. Phone and Printer Support. The RAM team will require one network printer and a DSN capable phone.
