SUBJ/4TH MARINE AIRCRAFT WING 75TH ANNIVERSARY//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  On behalf of all Marines, it is my distinct honor to congratulate the Marines and Sailors of the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing on their 75th anniversary.
2.  Activated on 22 August 1942, the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing dominated the skies over the Marshall and Marianas Islands during World War II.  From the Pacific to the Helmand River Valley of Afghanistan, Marines from this wing have built a reputation for aviation power and combat excellence.  As the aircraft wing to our Marine Corps Reserve, 4th MAW is an invaluable part of our warfighting effort and crisis response capability.
3.  As you celebrate your many accomplishments and pause to remember your fallen comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom, know that your fellow Marines are grateful for your service to Corps and country.
