GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The assignment of officers to the United States Naval Academy (USNA) requires high caliber individuals for positions that support the accession of junior officers into the Naval service. On 11 JAN 2018, a panel comprised of staff from MMOA and USNA will select officers for assignment to billet vacancies during FY18.
2. Eligibility requirements.
2.a. Time on station (TOS). Officers who will complete their prescribed tour, on their current set of orders, NLT 30 September 2018 are eligible. If an officer does not meet this requirement, the officer must contact their primary MOS (PMOS) monitor to discuss waiver submission requirements.
2.b. Grade. Officers who are promoted, selected, or in zone for the solicited billet openings are eligible to apply.
2.c. Officers who meet the TOS and grade requirements must also have career timing that supports a full 36 month tour at USNA.
3. Application process.
3.a. Interested officers must first contact their PMOS monitor for approval to screen on the panel for assignment to USNA.
3.b. Upon receipt of approval to screen by the PMOS monitor, officers are encouraged to visit http(slash)(slash)www.usna.edu/usmcinfo/index.php, to download and submit the application. The approval correspondence from the PMOS monitor is a prerequisite for submission of the application. If unable to download the application, contact the USNA POC listed below.
3.c. The deadline for PMOS monitor approval, for inclusion to screen on the panel is 1 DEC 2017.

4.a. USNA, Annapolis, MD.
4.a.1. 4402, Capt-Maj, Military Law Instructor: serve as an Instructor of Law in the Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) Division.
4.a.2. 0102, Capt, Adjutant: serve as Marine detachment Administration Officer and Assistant to the Senior Marine Corps Representative.
4.a.3. 8006, Capt-Maj, Physical Education Instructor: serve as sprint football coach and MCMAP Training Officer while also supporting the physical education mission of the academy. Collegiate football playing or coaching experience required, MCMAP Black Belt Instructor qualification preferred.
4.a.4. 8006, Capt, Physical Education Instructor: serve as Director of Player Development while also supporting the physical education mission of the academy. Division I football playing or coaching experience required.
4.a.5. 8006, Capt-Maj, Economics Instructor: serve as an Economics Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. Masters degree in an economics-related field of study required.
4.a.6. 8006, Capt-Maj, Economics Instructor: serve as an Economics Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. Masters degree in an economics-related field of study required.
4.a.7. 8006, Capt-Maj, French Instructor: serve as a Language Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. French speaker with a L2+/R2+ DLPT proficiency and Masters degree in a related subject preferred.
4.a.8. 8006, Capt-Maj, German Instructor: serve as a Language Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. German speaker with an L2+/R2+ DLPT proficiency and Masters degree in a related subject preferred.
4.a.9. 8006, Capt-Maj, Russian Instructor: serve as a Language Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. Russian speaker with L2+/R2+ DLPT proficiency and Masters degree in a related subject preferred.
4.a.10. 8006, Capt-Maj, English Instructor: serve as an English Instructor in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. Masters degree in English or literature-related field preferred, not required. Selected officers without a Masters degree will participate in a funded 1-year Masters program in English followed by a 2-year instructor tour at USNA.
4.a.11. 8006, Maj, Company Officer: serve as an officer advisor to a Midshipmen Company.
4.b. Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS), Newport, RI
4.b.1. 8006, Maj, Executive Officer: serve as the Executive Officer of NAPS.
